Threshold Positions Monitoring Specialist to join our Line 1 Asset Management Portfolio Compliance Team on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract basis.

Role Context
The Threshold Positions Monitoring Specialist is a key role within the AM Portfolio Compliance team, which is part of the Phoenix Asset Management's Business Control and Governance (BC&G) function.
Established within Line 1, the team is responsible for delivering compliance support capability to assist Phoenix Group's exciting investment strategy.
You will work alongside the Head of AM Portfolio Compliance and other functions within Phoenix Asset Management stakeholders (including the Projects Teams, Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Business Control & Governance); Phoenix Group stakeholders (including AM Compliance, Operational Risk, Legal) and external third parties, in developing, implementing and maintaining an efficient and secure Line 1 regulatory compliant framework.
Key Responsibilities
Threshold Reporting Project Implementation
- Act as a SME for Threshold Positions Monitoring Project Implementation
- Support Project Managers and other internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, in execution of design, solution and build of Threshold Positions Monitoring framework
- Attendance at key Project / Committee Forums, and ability to act as delegate for Head Portfolio Compliance (where required)
- Ensure compliance with established limits and guidelines through integration of legal advice
- Effectively manage and organize large sets of information and investment data related to threshold positions to ensure accuracy and integrity of data for reporting purposes.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks.
- Establish To Be processes, procedures, controls and policies
- Development of KPIs and MI and comprehensive reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Support in delivery of required training
- Development of testscripts pre golive
Undertake BAU activities when platform operational
- Supporting review of and / or submitting disclosures to regulators
- Updating the operating model for regulatory changes advised by the platform
- The role is expected to have frequent engagement with the Projects Team, IT, Data Governance, Line 2 AM Compliance; attend various committees and support the team where required to provide reporting to key Phoenix AM committees.
What we're looking for
Experience
- The following experience is essential to the role
- Skilled Threshold Reporting experience and in particular operational activities related to monitoring and reporting of positions related to Takeover Panel, DTR, Short-Selling, Sensitive Industries
- Line 1 Governance or Control. Line 2 Risk or Compliance, Legal experience in the investment industry, either within a standalone asset manager or inhouse asset manager
- Effective in management and organization in large sets of investment data
- Expected knowledge of financial instruments across asset classes, including equity, fixed income and derivative instruments
- Experience in interpreting legal document language
- Engaging with Assurance functions
- Regulatory engagement and / or regulatory submissions
- Experience of other forms of trade and transaction reporting is desirable but not essential.
