Maintenance Technician

£38,000 p/annum

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a thriving team at a recycling depot in Greater Manchester.

You will be responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance, ensuring it is carried out in a safe, efficientand cost-effective manner.

Main Responsibilities:

To comply with all Health and Safety regulations regarding equipment installations, maintenance and daily inspections
Ensure any operational issues are reported promptly
To ensure that the depot is maintained allowing the facility to be operated at its optimum
Keeps accurate maintenance record keeping against planned and unplanned maintenance work
Complete defect reports in a timely manner and report into the line manager
To plan, follow up and document the preventive maintenance for the equipment
Managing subcontractors, including positive communication and invoicing in timely manner
To manage spare parts stock and where necessary find spare parts alternatives
To chase subcontractors for daily updates on equipment services
To maintain industry sector knowledge, especially Best Available Techniques ( BAT)

Qualifications/Experience:
