Teaching Fellow UE07 £35,333-42,155 per annum or Lecturer UE08 £43,414-51,805 per annum

Nursing Studies, School of Health in Social Science, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Science

Fixed term:
Until 31 January 2026**
Full time: 35 hours per week


We are looking for a motivated and experienced nurse academic to join our diverse team where different experiences and skills are valued, contributing to our ability to provide an excellent student experience.


The Opportunity:


This post focuses on the delivery of nursing life sciences teaching, preparing pre-registration nursing students in physiology, biosciences and pharmacology.

There is opportunity to contribute to anatomy education, clinical skills acquisition and simulated learning depending on the applicant's experience and expertise.

You will contribute to the research culture in Nursing Studies through active engagement with one of our research groupings. Innovation and creativity is encouraged. You will also contribute to the administration and management of Nursing Studies and in providing support to students.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Registered Nurse (current recordable qualification with NMC)
  • Masters in nursing (UE07) or PhD in nursing or other relevant area (UE08)
  • Experience of teaching pharmacology, biological sciences, anatomy as they relate to adult nursing.
  • Experience in bidding for and securing external funding and research grants (UE08)
  • Ability to work independently and as a constructive team member
