Position

:


Reporting to Head of Systems and Test, you'll be responsible for leading on technology or capability development activities as required to support the engineering strategy.


This exciting role is responsible for planning and delivery of our small and medium rig testing capability, including defining future requirements and planning for capital spend on testing equipment.


In the next 6-18 months this is likely to include further wind tunnel development, a hydrogen capable module test rig and vibration testing equipment.

You'll also responsible for building and developing capability in the supply chain for testing that is more efficiently outsourced.


Finally, the role includes delivering and embedding the methods tools and practices associated with the development and test phase (from ARR through to TRB) of new product development.


The technology lead role will account for around 60% of your time, with the remainder being spent running test campaigns with suppliers as a Senior Systems and Test engineer.

To be successful you'll need

:


  • An Engineering degree or equivalent qualified by experience
  • Experience in design, development and testing of unique systems
  • Experience in leading product or technology development projects
  • Demonstrable approach to interdisciplinary problem solving and design tradeoffs (systems thinking)
  • Preparing, presenting, and reporting technical work to peers, seniors, external suppliers
  • Track record of successful product or project delivery
  • Strong practical mindset and abilities

Salary

:

£51,000 to £58,000, depending on experience


Working hours

:

Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements will be considered
