Description

Are you experienced in negotiation and supplier management? Do you have experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment?

A business in Burton-on-Trent is on the lookout for a Senior Category Buyer to join their Procurement Team.

The Head of Procurement has built a successful and efficient procurement function but has further plans for growth and development of the team.

They operate hybrid working (3 days in the office) and can offer flexi-time hours as well as CIPS qualification support and funding.

Day to day you will be responsible for the strategic procurement of your chosen categories.

This will include but won't be limited to:

Supplier management and performance reviews
Managing tendering process and contract negotiations
Approving and onboarding new suppliers and achieving better commercial terms

Exceptional communication/relationship building skills will be pivotal for this role as you'll be very supplier focused.
