Description

MPA are currently recruiting a Business Support Assistant (Scale 4) and an Information Officer (Scale 6) for our public service client based in Lisburn.


Location - Lisburn


Hours of Work hours per week. Mon - Fri (9:00am - 5:00 pm)


Salary - £ £14.47 Per Hour


Contract - 3-6 months with possible extension.


Essential Criteria for Business Support Assistant:

  • Possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, to include English and Maths

AND


Have at least 2 years' experience of working in a demanding office environment, carrying out a range of business support tasks including scheduling and administrative support for meetings.


OR
Have at least 4 years' experience of working in an office environment, carrying out a range of administrative tasks.


Can demonstrate:
(a) effective planning, organisation, prioritising skills, and attention to detail.

(b) the ability to work individually and as part of a team.

(c) effective communication skills (both oral and written).

(d) an ability to produce timely and accurate information.

(e) a customer service orientation.


Desirable:


  • Experience of taking and producing minutes and action plans arising from meetings.
  • Experience in managing a busy switchboard.
  • Experience of working within local government or the public sector.

Essential Criteria for Information Officer:


Either:

(a) Possess a degree or equivalent qualification.


And
Have at least 1 years' relevant experience within a large multi-disciplinary


organisation* of:

  • Records and information management practice including
  • implementation
of freedom of information; data protection; environmental information; and

Public Records (NI) legislation.

  • Implementing information management policy and procedure.
  • Providing training in respect of information management and/or
information security.

  • Preparing and delivering reports to senior management.

OR
Be working towards a degree or equivalent qualification.


And
Have at least 2 years' relevant experience within a large multi-disciplinary organisation of:

  • Records and information management practice including
  • implementation
of freedom of information; data protection; environmental information; and

Public Records (NI) legislation.

  • Implementing information management policy and procedure.
  • Providing training in respect of information management and/or
information security.

  • Preparing and delivering reports to senior management.

OR
(c) Possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, to include English

and Maths,


and
Have at least 5 years' relevant experience within a large multi-disciplinary organisation of:

  • Records and information management practice including
  • implementation
of freedom of information; data protection; environmental information; and

Public Records (NI) legislation.

  • Implementing information management policy and procedure.
  • Providing training in respect of information management and/or
information security.

  • Preparing and delivering reports to senior management.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of public sector corporate governance and information
management processes.


Demonstrate:
a) effective planning, organisation, prioritising skills, and attention to detail

and the ability to work individually or as a team member.

b) effective communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to

provide timely and accurate information.

c) a customer service orientation.

Salary:
£11.83-£14.47 per hour
