Centre Directors, Company and freelance staff. General public and industry.


Adur Centre


Based on the shores of the River Adur, the Adur Outdoor Centre houses an intermediate climbing wall and offers water sports and a host of outdoor activities to the local community.

With weekend climbing clubs, school residential programmes from April through to the end of July, day clubs every school holiday and bespoke group and taster sessions throughout the year.


JOB PURPOSE:

This is a (seasonally) busy role, that requires someone who can think on their feet and problem solve. The centre has the potential to become a social hub in Shoreham.

We are looking for someone who is keen to join us and contribute their ideas and enthusiasm to that goal.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Logistics and administration


Administrating a wide range of activities through the Cinolla booking system: seasonal bookings such as climbing clubs and school day-clubs every holiday (and school residentials).

Plus, sporadic events such as taster sessions, birthday parties and premises bookings.


April through to July is our busiest time of the year where our focus moves to the school residential period, in preparation of this you will be generating quotes, booking contracts, invoices and managing our client database.

Assisting with generating programmes and managing each schools booking:
liaising with the schools, collating group requirements, sending out pre arrival documentation and handling queries.


You will care for our team of freelance instructors, coordinating bookings and contracting them for events, managing their required paperwork and engaging new instructors when required.


Daily centre logistics - such as coordinating cleaning and gardening contracts, liaising with catering suppliers, and ordering centre supplies, kitchen teams and centre maintenance.

Managing expenses card.


Working with our head office accounts department to raise invoices through Xero, recovering unpaid childcare vouchers, and generating booking quotes for potential clients.

Instructing activities if required where alternative staff are not available, and the individual has suitable training.


Sales
Identifying new and existing client groups. Liaising with these groups to generate sales.

  • General centre activities to the local community, climbing clubs, birthday parties and taster sessions
  • Venture days holiday clubs for school students
  • School residentials (through Plan my School Trip)
You will provide media content and information to support the social media content creator.


Notes


You will provide confidential administrative support to the Centre Directors and LSG Senior Managers and other staff based at the centre, in line with GDPR.


SUMMARY:


To plan and carry out the above role as directed by the Centre Directors and LSG Senior Managers, ensuring high Standards of attention to detail.

To maintain and develop present clients and further sales in accordance with agreed business plans from the Centre Directors.


LIMITATION OF AUTHORITY:


The Adur Centre Operations Coordinator is authorised to take any reasonable action necessary to achieve the objectives and requirements of this job description, provided such action is within the framework policy and budget constraints of the Adur Centre as directed by the Centre Directors.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Any additional duties deemed necessary by the Centre Director, within the remit of the role.
