We are currently looking to fill a fantastic role on a large Dairy/Arable/Renewables farm in South West Scotland.

The role available is a full time general farm worker/tractor driver to help with all aspects of general farm work/tractor work on the farm as well as assisting with the day to day running of a modern dairy unit and renewables plant.

The farm currently has 460 dairy cows, producing 11,000 litres, farming 800 acres with all replacements raised on farm. Silage, Wheat and Barley are all grown on the farm. The renewables plant consists of a 1MW boiler and 2 spanner gasification units producing electricity and drying green bedding. A hard working and enthusiastic team is already in place and we are looking to add to this.

The specific requirements of the General farm worker/Tractor driver are:

• All aspects of general work on a dairy farm
• scraping, calf feeding, moving animals, bedding, feeding etc
• Helping with farm maintenance and repairs
• All aspects of dairy/arable tractor operations
• Help with all aspects of tractor repair and maintenance
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Experience with telescopic handlers, large machinery, road work and field work
• Excellent communication skills and Team Player

Pay:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
