Smithdon High School are seeking to appoint a high quality and proactive teaching assistant to join their dedicated and friendly team.

This is a great opportunity for a patient and supportive person to join our friendly school and make a real difference to a childs achievement and progress.

You will support & manage the needs of named pupil/pupils who require help to overcome barriers to learning.

You will be empathetic, believe in the value of education for all, and have a genuine wish to make a difference and support young people in achieving their potential.

If you are someone who believes that all students, regardless of their personal circumstances can excel and you have the ability to set high expectations in order to motivate and inspire, then this job is for you.

You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills, high expectations and a real commitment to achieving the very highest of standards, helping keep pupils engaged and on track during each lesson with strong behavioural management skills.

30.5 hours/week, 38 weeks/year (term time +1)

Scale C, Pt, 4, £10.98 p/Hr
