An opportunity has arisen for a strong motivational leader to join the Bradford team as Assistant Director Estates & Property.
This is an exciting time to join the team with a number of key Council led developments under construction or in the planning stage and ready to start.
As an experienced development surveyor, you will have a major impact in re-configuring the city centre making it vibrant and sustainable.
The ability to deliver multiple projects at pace, with a clear understanding of property development, including finance and governance and a detailed knowledge of property investment values is essential.
We have a large and diverse estate to manage, and this role encompasses a wide range of activities including:
- Delivering new 'Grade A' offices;
- Managing down a shopping centre to enable the new city village to commence
- Working with key stakeholders to deliver a new Health & Wellbeing centre
- Managing the investment estate
- Implementing the Corporate Landlord function
- Managing ISG, a wholly owned service which provides employment to disabled and disadvantaged staff manufacturing windows, doors and Festival Lights
This is a challenging, diverse role in an eclectic District that has a unique blend of rural and urban areas.
The Estates and Property Service includes:
Asset Management; Built Environment; FM Catering & Cleaning; ISG and Property Services.
If successful, you will have oversight of all aspects of the Council's estate, its related resources and facilities and will be accountable for the efficient and effective provision of a comprehensive client centred estates strategy, for estates planning, management and facilities support.
You will be responsible for building, nurturing, and sustaining effective multi-agency partnerships across the locality ensuring the delivery of needs-led integrated, joined-up, fit for purpose and responsive services.
