Job RoleMIB is a not-for-profit organisation at the heart of the fight against uninsured driving.
This is a problem that seriously affects the lives of those involved in road accidents and costs millions of pounds every year.
We work in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government to tackle uninsured driving.Are you an effective, engaging communicator, able to articulate complex concepts simply to a broad audience?

If you are, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Technology Strategy and Innovation to join our Leadership Team
This role will:
- Facilitate the creation and ongoing evolution of the technology strategy. The strategy should not be limited to the technology and change organisation but should demonstrate how technology and change will contribute to business success across MIB.
- Engage the organisation and its stakeholders in order that the technology strategy, and the value it brings is well understood.
- Ownership of IT roadmap, assume lead role in development, publication and governance of the IT roadmap.
- Guide the evolution of IT services, innovation and the IT and change operating model in response to changing landscape.
- Effectively communicate, to a wide audience, the IT strategy, the value of technology innovation and the portfolio of technology and change services. Ensure understanding in order to drive the right priorities and behaviours within the organisation.
- Working closely with MIB's Operating Committee, engage business and IT stakeholders, creating and maintaining positive relationships and ensuring that 'customer,' in all its guises, is at the heart of everything we do.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology and business trends, demonstrating thought leadership. Clearly articulate options, recommendations and associated risks and opportunities to MIB, and its stakeholders / customers where required.
- Create a safe environment, with clear parameters, within which curious colleagues can innovate, learn and experiment together in the spirit of continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor IT staff, support education of wider MIB and stakeholder community.
Qualifications and Education
Skills and Knowledge
- Effective, engaging communicator with proven ability to articulate complex concepts simply to a broad audience.
- Demonstrable and effective influencing and negotiating skills with proven success in building productive professional relationships and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders and organisations. Demonstrable experience of strategic and business planning methods.
- Commercial awareness, understanding of contracts and vendor management.
- Experience of managing significant financial budgets.
- Proven ability to motivate, coach and inspire colleagues.
- Governance and regulatory awareness.
- Awareness of industry frameworks / standards (e.g. ISO, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, NIST.
