Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.


Position:

Fantastic opportunity to join Equip as
Accounts Assistant


This role forms part of the Treasury and Accounts Payable team with responsibility for maintaining financial records ensuring accuracy and timely recording of accounting transactions.

You will ensure that key month end and day to day activities are complete in a robust and timely manner and provide support to the wider finance team.


Key Responsibilities of Accounts Assistant (including but not limited to):

  • Prepare for approval the weekly payment runs for the overseas companies
  • Complete daily bank account reconciliations for the UK & overseas companies
  • Review bank transaction postings for the UK & overseas companies
  • Processing of payments and issue resolution for the overseas suppliers
  • Responsible for the balances and reconciliation of vendor ledgers for overseas
  • Intercompany postings and reconciliation of balances
  • Collating documentation regarding factory payments for provision to the bank
  • Processing & preparation of month end reports
  • Support with credit card and personal expense claims
  • Providing administration support to the Finance Team and wider business as required

Requirements:

To join us as
Accounts Assistant you must have:

Essential

  • Previous experience in a similar role including entering basic financial information
  • MS Office knowledge and experience including Excel
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
  • Diligent and accurate approach to work with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive, "cando" attitude

Desirable

  • Experience of using Navision, & Evolve
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment
  • Studying towards a recognised qualification relevant to the role
  • Current full driving licence
