What you will be doing


As a Trainee Procurement Tutor, you will be assessing procurement and supply chain courses against Apprenticeships and CIPS qualifications, both online and classroom based learning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and support learners with the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours against relevant standards and learning outcomes pertaining to procurement and supply chains, enabling learners to achieve high quality qualifications within specified timescales
  • 95% timely completions against set target
  • 100% of the working caseload actively participating in learning at least every 4 weeks
  • 100% apprenticeship progress reviews completed every 10 weeks
  • Achieve a grade 2 (good) or above for delivery
  • Achieve all quality requirements for reviews
  • 100% ILPs uptodate
  • Deliver procurement and supply chain sessions at levels 36, both online and in the classroom
  • Carry out regular progress reviews with apprentices
  • Keep individual learning plans up to date
  • Provide guidance and support to learners throughout their course, including the endpoint assessment phase for apprentices
  • Manage relationships with learners and their employers
  • Manage a caseload upwards of 50 learners
  • Plan and prepare for teaching sessions by writing teaching material, lesson plans and class profiles
  • Attend regular standardisation meetings to share best practice and discuss developments
  • Undertake regular CPD activities and maintain a record of this
  • Embed functional skills, health and safety, equality and diversity, safeguarding, prevent and British values when teaching and carrying out reviews with learners

Essential qualifications, skills, competencies and experience

  • MCIPS qualified
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of topics pertaining to procurement and supply chains
  • Experience working in procurement and supply chain roles
  • Strong interest in teaching and assessment
  • Willing to undertake teaching and assessment qualifications if not already held
  • Committed to continuous improvement and professional development
