Linx, a leading global provider of coding and marking solutions for date and batch coding of products and packaging across manufacturing industries, is seeking a JUNIOR PRODUCT PLANNER to work with the Product Planning team to define the roadmap, product requirements and drive the introduction of new coding products based on robust VOC (Voice of the Customer).

will:


Be responsible for providing products that meet our customers marking and coding needs and have distinct and advantaged value propositions.

Reporting into the Product Manager, the junior product planner will work closely with the product manager, the development engineering team, and marketing team to ensure that new product developments are delivered to specification and on time and provide Linx with competitive advantage.


Be responsible for ensuring the ongoing quality and supply of the products and world-class level of support is maintained, and proactively driving demand creation across the organization.


In your main role at Linx, you will support the product manager and business unit manager to:

  • Gather and analyse market and competitor product information, to provide advice and information to Linx and its distributors.
  • Source voice of the customer by going to gemba (visit distributors and end customers), translate into functional requirements for new coder variants, and software offerings.
  • Provide business case for new developments, and work with the development team to deliver products to specification.
  • Set and have approved list pricing for new variants/options and existing products.
  • With the product manager, the business unit manager, and the marketing manager, develop and drive sales and marketing and distributor support initiatives.
  • Support product launch marketing plan and execution (including product marketing content and sales messaging, commercial product training to partners and direct commercial teams), and post launch campaigns, in addition to marketing and sales tools.
  • Monitor performance of product quality in the field and adoption of recently launched products.
  • Participation in Problem Solving Process (PSP) in areas such product line sales targets, revenue achievement or product launch adoption.
  • Participation in Value Added Value Engineering and Maintenance of Line projects, to support continuous improvement of launched products.
  • Review and approve requested product changes.
  • Curious and prepared to "learn on the fly" to seek answers

  • Able to solve difficult problems and drive effective solutions
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally with distributors and customers
  • Cultural competence including understanding what works within and across countries
  • Can understand the business' strategic position, future trends and prioritise the critical few to drive impactful action

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's in engineering, business, marketing or related studies
  • Experience in problem solving challenges
  • A strong communicator, with effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Be able to work in a hybrid environment with three days a week at Linx House in St.
Ives, UK


Preferred:

  • Experience of working within an international team is highly desirable
  • Additional language skills (i.e. French) desirable
