Are you a Category Manager looking for a new opportunity? Do you have Electrical sector experience or experience working for a B2B/B2C multi-site distributor? If so, we have an opportunity to join a leading (and one of the largest) wholesaler in the UK.This is a hybrid role offering a base salary of up to £60,000 + car + excellent bonus.

This role is based in Warwickshire and commutable from Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham, Worcestershire and surrounding.

The Role


This role will support the Head of Procurement and Category Management in developing an industry-leading procurement function, especially in the areas of maximising leverage, commercial terms improvement, collaboration with suppliers and the implementationof initiatives via a close working relationship with Group Managers.

You'll be responsible for the development of a category strategy that increases market share and significantly improves profitability.


Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Procurement and Category Management in the delivery of a category strategy that is aligned with the overall company strategy, culture and values
  • Utilise data and feedback to develop a clear category strategy through effective supplier selection and the negotiation of supplier commercial agreements, promotional opportunities and range
  • Regularly analyse and review product and market performance to drive recommendations for tactical actions
  • Manage the online product range, supplier selection and commercial terms
  • Ensure that appropriate and competitive project pricing is in place to support the profitable growth of national accounts
  • Work closely with Product Managers to summarise and analyse data to support recommendations and decisions around rebates/price benchmarking / performance of a category/national promotion etc.
  • Create and evolve best practice for POS / promotional activity/impulse purchase opportunities and motivate groups/regions to participate in sharing positive results to highlight success

About You
We're especially looking for someone who has a strong procurement background and proven experience in end-to-end category/product management.


Electrical experience is ideal or experience working for a B2B/B2C multi-site distributor but automotive or EV would also be beneficial.


Building strong relationships is key so you'll be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
