Permanent - 17 hours per week on a rota basis with alternate weekend availability required.

About our home:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Laundry Assistant to join our home, Manchester House, Albert Road in Southport.

Manchester House is a Nursing and residential care home catering for up to 67 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

We are a caring, friendly team who pride ourselves on providing a secure, happy and welcoming atmosphere for all residents and visitors and maintaining the home to a very high standard.

About the Role:

As a Laundry Assistant you will take care of all clothing and bedding, collecting laundry from residents' rooms, ensuring everything is labelled and washed according to the washing instructions, dried and ironed to a high standard and returned to residents' rooms.

About You:

You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of domestic and laundry service to the residents in our care.

You will ideally have previous domestic experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance.

You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to older people and be a team player but able to work on your own initiative.

You will be dependable and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.
