MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit an excellent Neighbourhood Coordinator to work on a part time permanent contract based in Birmingham.

We are seeking an experienced individual to ensure effective management of homes and services within a designated area, working largely on own initiative and without regular on-site supervision.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver operational services in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure systems are operated effectively to provide accurate and timely performance data
  • Ensure that regular inspections of communal areas are carried out, documented and corrective action carried out in a timely fashion
  • Ensure compliance with tenancy terms and conditions regarding the condition of the home, gardens, parking of motor vehicles, erection of garden sheds or other structures
  • Ensure void targets are met and properties are let in line with the businesses standards
  • Efficient and effective local management of void properties including timely completion of pre & post inspection of void works, arranging security, cleaning and coordinating minor void repair works and liaison with property services colleagues as necessary
  • Contribute to delivering key performance indicators relating to income collection including the collection of rent and other tenant debt
  • Carry out regular tenancy home visits and tenancy audits, updating records and notifying the Neighbourhood Manager or any irregularities in occupancy or condition of properties

Experience Required:

  • Good customer care skills
  • Evidence of good record keeping skills (ability to accurately & clearly record information as well as maintain organised and efficient systems)
  • Demonstrate good time management and work planning skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to calculate income and expenditure details with customers and negotiate debt repayment proposals
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of a range of IT software packages
  • A knowledge of the social housing sector and the work of housing associations
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new information and understand the key points of policies and procedures in order to implement them accurately and effectively
  • Ability to present information and to explain matters clearly to individuals and groups
