Description

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise professional spray equipment to finish doors, frames and joinery items in a variety of finishes, lacquers, paints and stains, and have an understanding of all of these finishes.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the spray equipment and spray booth facilities, ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Preparation work including checking, cleaning, filling, and sanding of doors and frames, before, during and after spraying.
  • Assisting with checking of the quality of door production.
  • Assisting with general warehouse operation lifting heavy doors, storage of doors etc.
  • Ensuring stock is stored in correct locations for stock checks.
  • Positive attitude to work, a teamplaying approach, and good timekeeping.
  • When required, to assist in other duties.
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Planning work and work station
  • Requiring mínimal supervision to produce work
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Previous experience is essential, as is physical fitness.
  • Perform work in accordance with specifications, instructions, and/or company policies
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors

Experience:


  • Previous experience as a sprayer + paint prepper is preferred
  • Familiarity with spray equipment and tools used in painting
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical principles
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed

Skills:


  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes
  • Knowledge of power tools such as paint sprayers and sanders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time

Hours of work - 06:00-14:30 Monday - Thursday, 06:00-13:30 Friday, Overtime available.


Location - Tyseley Birmingham B11


Salary:
£13.00-£16.00 per hour
