We are looking for a Night Life Angel to join our Night Life team within the Barnsley night time economy.

The role will be primarily Saturday nights from 22.00 to 04.00 to assist vulnerable females. As such this role is only open to females to apply.

Firstly, the NLA seek to provide a pro-active approach in effectively communicating, educating and informing women and young girls in how to stay safe and how to avoid potentially dangerous situations

Secondly, the NLA provide a high profile presence within the town centre so as to deter and detract any individuals who may look to cause distress to vulnerable women or young girls.

Should the NLA come across anyone needing assistance they will offer help and support so that females are removed from any dangerous situation.

Duties:

Be a key ambassador for the night-time economy, helping to deter & report crime and assist vulnerable females

Be a friendly face and an active & supporting partner to the local policing team where you can

Report any incidents of crime, suspicious activity or anti-social behaviour including rough sleepers or beggars

Night life angels will be always mindful of the safety of themselves and those around them

To be a visual active presence in the town, sending the clear message that we have zero tolerance for crime of any sort in the town centre

Requirements:

SIA Door Supervisor badge and first aid qualification is required

Have a full 5-year work / education history including addresses and landline contact details

Have excellent organisation skills and attention to detail

The succesful applicant will be punctual, reliable and be able to adopt a flexible approach and be well presented

To be able to demonstrate clear, effective communication skills and excellent oral & written English skills

Demonstrate positive values in line with equal opportunities legalisation

Be able to patrol on foot for approximately two square miles for 10 hours per night in all weather

A professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity

Hours Expected to Work:
