This post is for a Project Coordinator for the Cancer Prevention and Early Detection theme of the BRC.

The post will support research within the Division of Cancer Sciences at the University of Manchester and across Manchester University Foundation Trust.

The post holder will have a key role in supporting the Principal Investigator and Project Manager in the delivery of a portfolio of projects including participant facing, laboratory and translational research.

Amongst other projects you will contribute to the ACES (Alternative CErvical Screening) programme.

The ACES programme is investigating whether a urine Human papillomavirus test could be an accurate alternative to current routine cervical screening.


Responsibilities will be varied requiring flexibility and the ability to quickly learn processes in this busy academic clinical research environment.

You will be responsible for coordinating existing and new studies, data management, ethics, quality control, reporting and document management in line with Research Governance standards.


You will have experience of coordinating clinical trials within a clinical research environment, be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with good understanding of good clinical practice and overarching regulatory guidelines.


The post holder will be based in the Division of Cancer Sciences in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at St Mary's Hospital.

The post will involve some travel to research sites across Greater Manchester.
