Job description
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual, keen to contribute to improving the health and well-being of the people of North Somerset, whilst contributing to tackling climate change.
This post will involve administering the Councils Green Homes Agenda and working with charitable groups and partner agencies on the delivery of home energy advice.
A key part of the role will be working with partners to deliver home retrofit, including a specific project to insulate park homes, as part of the Home Upgrade Grant programme.
The post holder will also get involved in the broader remit of helping households who may be struggling with the Cost of Living Crisis, suffering from fuel poverty and with promoting works to combat climate change.
The team has a wide reaching role; functions include the administration of the mandatory Disabled Facilities Grant, delivery of a range of discretionary grant and loan products to repair and improve housing and energy efficiency and the investigation of complaints relating to housing conditions, empty properties and public health.
Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.
