The Opportunity


We are currently offering a great opportunity for a highly skilled and organised Senior Fabric Coordinator who can work with our fabric and sales team.

The Senior Fabric Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the in-house fabric team.

The main focus of the role is to assist and play a key role with all daily operations relating to the ordering and sourcing of fabrics.

The Role

  • Work independently and effectively, demonstrating the ability to handle tasks autonomously.
  • Create and maintain fabric files and input fabric details ensuring all codes/ references/descriptions are correct.
  • Responsible for overseeing the DSB and placing purchase orders with fabric suppliers and mills, following through for order confirmation/delivery dates and updating internal systems.
  • Assisting on negotiating prices and lead times on fabrics with suppliers.
  • General admin work.
  • Understanding the technicalities of the fabrics we use and is able to come up with solutions for alternatives for internal departments.
  • Dealing with fabric enquiries and overseeing the ticketing system.
  • Attending supplier meetings to discuss new collections and developments.
  • Liaise daily with suppliers and inform relevant departments of any changes to delivery dates and delays.
  • Work with Finance department to ensure all invoices are accurate and that the relevant paperwork is processed to allow prompt payments.
  • Support to maintain the EU's largest Fabric Library.
  • Maintaining up to date pricing and leadtime information and accurate fabric data on all relevant internal systems.
  • Assisting with CSI and Production issues to help prevent future cases.
  • Assisting with the forecasting and upkeeping of current trends & communicating and educating new trends to sales.
Key Skills Required

  • Demonstrate a passion for têxtiles and fabrics, showing genuine interest and enthusiasm for the industry.
  • Looking for a confident selfmotivated individual with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Must be able to think ahead and preempt potential issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of têxtiles and fire safety regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to key deadlines.
  • Ability to work in admin heavy role
  • Needs to work well on own and use initiative to problemsolve.
  • Must have excellent organisational skills.
  • Computer and software literate using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc).
  • Working knowledge of Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 (amended 1989 and 1993).
  • SAP experience (beneficial).
  • Creativity is encouraged.
