Description
Electricity North West is looking for Substation Ground Worker to join the ENWS Grounds Maintenance Team in Manchester. This full-time role offers a favourable benefits package, including a salary of up to £26.3k p/a.
As a Substation Groundworker, you will deliver high-standard, time-effective and cost-effective grounds maintenance work on ENW assets to ensure all sites are kept safe, tidy and operational at all times.
To give you an idea of how this grounds maintenance role will look and feel, these are some things you can expect to do in a typical week:
- Carry out on-site risk assessments of the working area
- Plan your own working day to ensure work is done efficiently
- Promote the accurate and timely provision of management information and assist in the delivery of any work streams as needed
- Attend any relevant training to assist in other GM workstreams.
You will be part of a great team who work well together, however, this role is predominantly lone working and you will be provided with a company van in order to carry out your duties.
- Knowledge of any policies and procedures relevant to the role
- Experience with relevant powered tools/machinery needed to undertake the role (and willingness to undertake training)
- The ability to conduct onsite risk assessments of working areas (POWRA)
- The ability to plan your working day with maximum efficiency.
