Job Title:
Sports Centre Administrator**
Location:The Sports Centre, Sherborne School


Hours of Work:
This is afull-timerole (40 hours per week). Shifts are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (less 30 minutes unpaid break).

Flexibility in hours will be required on occasion to meet the demands of the post, to include evenings or weekends.


Salary:
£23,000 **per annum to be reviewed annually which equates to £11.05 per hour.


Principal Role:

The Sports Centre Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Sports Centre Management Team, to enable them to focus on their core purpose.

In particular liaison with the HR and Finance Teams to ensure records are kept up to date in a timely and accurate manner.


Holidays:
You are entitled to 5 weeks paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for ensuring Sports Centre Staff HR records are up to date, reporting absences and sickness, maintaining training logs as well as ensuring training activities are within budget.
  • Responsible for the financial record keeping for the Sports Centre in liaison with the finance team. Keeping membership sales data up to date ensuring that the Commercial Manager is aware of any instances of nonpayment of membership. Support the Sports Centre Manager in ensuring that costs and income is being tracked to enable the achievement of financial targets.
  • Support the budget setting process and the management of costs against budget ensuring regular reporting supports robust financial management of Sherborne Leisure Ltd. In consultation with, and supported by, the finance team ensure invoicing is compliant with VAT legislation.
  • Responsible for compiling and booking termly sports centre facility requirements for Sherborne School, Sherborne Prep and Sherborne international.
  • Responsible for compiling and booking all community club and group block bookings of sports centre facilities.

Required skills and experience:


  • Excellent administrator with demonstrable experience supporting a team with a wide range of administrative responsibilities.
  • Ability to systematically approach tasks in particular helping to develop and use standard operating procedures to efficiently manage important, repetitive tasks e.g. management of membership data.

Desired skills and experience:


  • Experience managing a customer relationship database.
  • Customer service experience.
