As our client's business grows, a rare opportunity has presented itself to join their rapidly expanding company
.They are an employee-focused organisation within the critical infrastructure sector, providing a broad scope of services from project management, design, consultancy, client representation and validation.


They are looking for an innovative, dedicated, and passionate Engineer to place within their design function who understands data centre infrastructure and can implement critical infrastructure trends and technologies.


Requirements Background:

Experience as an HVAC engineer is essential, along with being able to demonstrate a working knowledge and appreciation in:

  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Electrical power components and their operation and configuration
  • Mechanical systems, mainly cooling water distribution
  • An understanding of European compliance regulations
This fantastic opportunity will involve travel throughout Europe.


They must be an autonomous self-starter, and while the primary role will sit within the consultancy services part of the business, they will need to be willing to work across a multi-discipline environment, project management, project delivery and systemand client acceptance testing when the demand arose.

  • Have a firm understanding of critical and data centre infrastructure, mechanical and electrical, be agile, performancedriven decisionmaking, design thinking, view things objectively, have a profound social, economic, and cultural awareness, and lack egoand an enthusiastic fondness for teamwork
  • Analyse and comprehend complex systems, identify sources of any concern or problems that arise, and decide on actions to fix them
  • Understand the designer's role in standard construction industry contracts. FIDIC, JCT, MF1etc

Responsibilities:


  • Carry out auditing of site infrastructure and hardware, SPoF analysis, provide a detailed and comprehensive set of recommendations, condition reports and cost plans
  • Carry out tender analysis
  • Creatively develop performance, quality, tendering and Client documents
  • Decide on an approach to fulfilling the customer needs as appropriate
  • Designing processes and systems
  • Develop concept designs
  • Developing cost plans and timelines
  • Identifying and addressing problems
  • Implementing solutions and designs
  • Issue and review technical RFI's and design submittals
  • Staying up to date with international industry trends
  • Training other engineering personnel
  • Witness and supervise commissioning and acceptance tests (IST)

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
  • Be an autonomous selfstarter
  • Bilingual proficiency in German or Spanish is extremely desirable
  • Developed and prepared client briefs and performancerelated documentation
  • Drafting capabilities, handdrawn and CAD
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Fluent in English
  • Steadfast dedication to ethical codes of practice
  • Vital problemsolving, communication, and listening skills
