Hybrid working - 1-2 days per week in London based office

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Project Analyst to join our Finance team on a temporary basis.


Working within the Finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the operational management of all Nucleus Companies in London, Manchester and Macclesfield in achieving project profitability and billability through the provision of financialinformation, and the financial management of client projects.


  • Previous accounting or finance experience and ideally educated to degree level
  • Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards for revenue recognition
  • Intercompany (parent / subsidiary) accounting
  • Percentage completion method of accounting
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced level) and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach to improving processes
Core Responsibilities

  • Assists and monitors client teams with project financials, including billing, estimates, revenue
- recognition, and reconciliations, challenging and supporting where necessary

  • Quarterly forecasting of revenue recognition
  • Provides analysis on profitability, billability and time worked on projects
  • Prepares and post journals to produce accurate revenue reporting for senior management including
  • Client commentaries on a monthly basis
  • Assists in training all new staff in the use of Maconomy (financial accounting system)
  • Ensures that confidentiality and compliance with internal firewalls are maintained at all times
  • Internal liaison with other team members, Nucleus Central departments and agency colleagues, as required ensuring efficient information flow and delivery of assigned projects
