I am looking for the next Customer Service Advisor to join our Customer Contact Centre in Newport. You will be the first point of contact for calls coming into Public Sector Prisons within England and Wales.

You will support family member seeking information about a loved one as well as other third party individuals looking for information such as the police, solicitors, courts.

Being an empathetic and professional person is essential but full training will be provided.

We are offering 15 hour contracts and our working patterns are 1 evening per week between 3-8pm (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) and Saturdays and Sundays on a rotational 3 week rota (7am-12:30pm/9am - 2:30pm/ 11:30am - 5pm)


What you'll be doing:


  • Answer all incoming/outgoing calls in line with current service level agreements
  • Processing the relevant information and call details to ensure right communication and log these details onto SSCLs internal system
  • Be customer focused at all times ensuring that excellent customer service is provided on all calls.
  • Take ownership of customer queries, comments, feedback and complaints.
  • Work as part of a strong team to deliver results during peak times

  • Willingness to learn new systems & cross train for multiple clients within the SSC
