Project Manager (IT, Finance and Change)
Full Time, Permanent
Hybrid / Oxfordshire - 1 day per week on site
£50,000 - £60,000 + generous bonus, car allowance, family private healthcare, pension and much more
The Company
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will primarily be leading new IT, Change and Finance Projects supporting and enabling delivery in collaboration with functional teams, senior management and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the scoping, setting up, planning and execution of projects to time, budget and desired outcomes.
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Project Portfolio Management Office according to defined standards.
- Proactively & dynamically managing the individual project plans, calling out dependencies, resources and other risks and suggesting mitigation as required.
- Managing project ROI and budget in conjunction with the finance team and assigned project accountant according to defined standards.
- Defining the project communication plan and chairing project team meetings for planning and cascade of work packages for streams.
- Defining, developing and embedding project and programme management processes and standards to reflect best practice.
- Supporting the project team with best practice guidance and providing stakeholders with personal development plans and performance objectives in line with project targets.
- Supporting strategic objectives for the team that are aligned with the company's strategic initiatives.
Key Skills and Experience required
- Proven knowledge and experience of project management delivery methodologies e.g. Prince2, MSP, Agile, APM, ITL), tools and techniques (i.e. MS Project)
- Specific focus on project planning and change management, within a large and sometimes complex programme / project environment.
- Handson delivery experience as project manager on IT and Finance projects where proven record around vendor management, contract negotiations and migration activities
- Will ideally have managed budgets in excess of £500k on multi stream projects with 10+ assigned project resources.
- Expertise in transformation governance frameworks, project tools and techniques, track record of taking responsibility for high quality and ontime project deliveries
- Track record of driving to timelines, strong planning, communications, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including consultative/mentoring skills
- The ability to build strong collaborative relationships
