Peabody are looking for a
Team Manager to lead a Team of Specialist Support workers supporting rough sleepers in the community and in temporary accommodation through Inreach and Outreach services.

In return you will receive a competitivesalary of
£28,794 per annum.

About the Team Manager
role:


The Managers role will be to work with Commissioners and partners to ensure the Team identifies and supports rough sleepers to get off the street and provide them with effective support.


What we're looking for in our Team Manager:

  • Experience of managing and motivating a team of staff to deliver a high-quality support service
  • Experience of working with other agencies and statutory organisations, particularly within the housing and social care sector
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people within a preventative, housing or homelessness service
  • The ability to engage with people who are rough sleeping, in crisis and in chaotic situations
  • A good understanding of housing law and homelessness prevention legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act
  • A good knowledge of statutory and community services across Essex

Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Ensure the effective delivery of the combinedin/outreach service for rough sleepers on the street and in temporary accommodation working to reduce rough sleeping in Basildon
  • Provide a positive role model for support workers, by modelling good practice, advising on, and intervening in, complex and/or highrisk cases as required
  • Maintain accurate records to evidence key performance targets and other reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain good links with local statutory and voluntary agencies to enable service users to access appropriate services and support
  • Ensure support workers provide personalised, structured and flexible support to clients to enable individuals to improve/maintain their independence
  • Effectively manage risk to service users, employees and the community
  • To work collaboratively with other partners, to ensure the InReach/OutReach Team functions as a multidisciplinary team
