About this role:


Working within the Support team, this is a new position with responsibility for supporting all software related activities, relating to the supply and installation of systems in the field including the configuration of systems prior to dispatch.


This is a key role to ensure that systems are ready to deploy/install at customer sites and that they have been pre-configured to customer and ipTEST requirements.


Responsibilities

  • To create system software configurations and deployment to new and old systems
  • To provide online and in person software support for the installation and updating of systems
  • To provide and convey feedback from customers to marketing and engineering for the improvement of the company's products and services
  • Maintain the support technical software library, including the customer information portal
  • Optimisation of software installs on customer systems, including test and customer plans
  • Long term planning for system platforms, for both hardware and software
  • Issuance of temporary and permanent licences for systems including maintenance of register and reminder system
  • Occasional travel to customer site to provide direct software support

Preferred Skills:


  • 5 years plus of software configuration and deployment
  • Strong communicator with good written and spoken English
  • Proactive and methodical approach to project management and good problemsolving skills
  • Capacity and experience of developing processes which integrate with the wider business to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the software support function
  • Competent user of inhouse integrated software systems
  • Competent user of MS Office; specifically intermediate level Excel

Qualifications & Educational requirements:


  • Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering
