The Role:
Health & Safety Executive Specialist - Reporting to QHSE Manager

Salary £33-£40k DOE

Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Thursday, Friday

Location:
Derbyshire

Status:

NeBosh diploma, certificate or equivalent
Relevant environmental qualification
Internal auditor qualification
Experience of working in manufacturing environment
Previous experience working in HSE
Management of ISO 1400
High level of communication both verbal and written
Excellent IT skills inclusive Microsoft 36
Forward thinking and solution orientated mid set
Accountable in the role and the development of the role

The Position:

Support the company in fulfilling its responsibilities for HSE, advising and assisting as necessary
Implement HSE policies, procedures aligned with local legislation and global requirements and policies
Assurance with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Management standards
Carry out and support management team with Accident, near miss and RIDDOR reports and actions
Oversee Risk Management procedures
Complete internal audits, site HSE inspections and proactive onsite checks to identify any compliance gaps and gaps ineffective implementation of HSE initiatives and risk controls
Prepare and review HSE documentation such as risk assessments, methods statements, safe systems of work, etc.
Assisting in Auditing programs, including internal and external audits.
Identify HSE training, competency, and awareness requirements, tracking competence and maintaining at all staff levels
Advance and promote a sustainability and health & safety culture in the workplace
Organise and run regular Safety Committee meetings with selected employee to address current EHS needs and agree on action plan for future, prepare reports from it, drive, and followup to close all actions agreed during safety meetings
Set and monitor the Company HSE goals and objectives including presentation of KPI's
Maintain HSE budget and provide control over spending
