**THE COMPANY
**A global insurance company with a massive presence in the UK, as a leading insurance company. They provide a full range of retail, commercial and health insurance services. The company is looking to build a new team within their finance sector to deliverthe latest in Modelling, reporting and Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

THE ROLE
You can expect to be involved in the following:

Develop data science solutions to business problems.
Contribute to the advanced analytics hopper, helping keep it updated and refreshed with new use cases.
Identify opportunities or business problems where advanced analytics can be solved with data science; be a point of contact for data science projects, including meetings with stakeholders.
Sell the vision of advanced analytics and databased decision making to wider stakeholders. Stakeholder management and engagement with both technical and nontechnical teams.
Keep up to speed with latest trends in the market and ensure Claims Analytics are leading the way.
Help develop, roll out and drive data science strategy and standards across team.

**YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

**The successful Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience: - Experience in a statistical and/or data science role

Experience in software engineering
Experience using PySpark to process large scale data
Python experience that demonstrates coding in Jupyter
Notebooks and also the ability to write productionised code (e.g. a Flask API to serve a model).
To be able to demonstrate the regular use of Version Control software e.g. git.
Familiarity with Graph ML or NLP.
Developed experience with Python and knowledge of machine learning, statistics and/or optimization
Experience working with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS)
Experience of delivering end to end data science solutions to achieve business benefit
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a strong desire to work in cross functional teams
