GOODS RECEIVING AND STORES ADMINISTRATOR

LAPMASTER WOLTERS

LEE MILL, PLYMOUTH (you must have your own transport or live locally)

Lapmaster Wolters are a well-established international engineering business based around 15 minutes' drive from the centre of Plymouth, in Lee Mill.

Stable and highly respected, we are now looking for a talented Goods Receiving and Stores Administrator to join our committed, hard-working team and provide additional support to despatch and purchasing.


We don't need specific experience for this role, but you MUST have a solid work history, with some administration and/or goods-in experience, excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Word and Excel, strong attention to detail and be numerate.

You'll be keen to work for a growing local business, in a highly collaborative and friendly environment.


As part of your role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Receiving goods into stores, inspecting/checking goods against purchase orders and distributing them to various departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining stores, identifying parts and locating them correctly within the designated storage areas.
  • Kit picking from works orders/bills of material and issuing to the assembly areas.
  • Raising/issuing/receiving internal works orders for assemblies.
  • Raising reject notes on suppliers and liasing with the shipping department for the return of those goods.
  • Picking goods against sales orders for despatch
  • Assisting in the despatch of goods.
  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing reorder levels and adjusting accordingly.
  • Reviewing incoming sales orders daily to ensure availability of parts in inventory and assist in establishing schedules for shipments and production management.
  • Regularly reviewing outstanding and overdue purchase and sales order records.
  • Support the shop floor staff as directed.

ABOUT YOU

  • You'll have strong computer skills with experience of Microsoft Products; Excel and Word
  • Some Administration and/or Goods-In/Warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience beneficial
  • Driving licence beneficial

Hours of work:
Mon to Thu: 08:00 - 17:00 plus 30 mins (unpaid) lunch and 10 mins break am/pm

Fri: 08:00 - 13:00 (no lunch) 10 mins break am

You may also work as Administrator, Goods-In, Warehouse, Logistics, Admin Assistant or similar.
