We are pleased to be able to offer an industry-leading pay rate of £150 per day.


This is an exciting opportunity to have a profound and tangible positive impact on another person's everyday life, whilst developing key skills such as team-working, communication and organisation.


Your role as a PA is to assist our client to achieve his goals and live life to the fullest.


About our Client


Our client is a motivated young man who has just embarked on his first year at the University of Greenwich, studying History & Politics, where he lives in halls.

Our client fully intends on making the most out of university life, both academically and socially. Yes, that does include the occasional night out


Our client is a happy, funny and polite person who enjoys life and is generally a pleasure to be around.

His hobbies include; going to the cinema, swimming and getting outside for trike rides.

He has also enjoyed various marketing and media volunteering roles for his local art centre, giving him valuable experience and giving back to his community.


The right PA will be an encouraging influence in his life, enabling him to continue making the most out of the academic and social opportunities that come his way.

As his PA, you will be there to enjoy these experiences with him which will create a varied, exciting and fulfilling role you can be proud of.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the client in a wide range of support activities including personal care and help with domestic tasks.
  • Assist the client access university, helping him get to and from university and assisting with with any personal care needs as required.
  • Our client uses an electric wheelchair and requires assistance with transferring using a hoist.
  • Be flexible and creative to minimise the barriers that people with disabilities face. Identifying potential problems and finding ways to solve them.
  • Assist the client in organising and implementing his plans to progress with his academic, career, hobby and social life ambitions.
  • Be enthusiastic and maintain a positive outlook on life. With spending a significant amount of time with our client, PAs should act as a positive influence on the client's life and encourage him to engage with the community.
  • This livein role is currently scheduled from Thursday morning
  • Sunday morning, during term time (31 weeks per year).
  • There is the opportunity to work nonterm time on an 8hour shift schedule.

About You - Essential Attributes:


  • Be trustworthy and have a positive and enthusiastic outlook on life.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Be flexible and adapt quickly to new situations/environments. Our client will meet many different people and attend many different events. PAs should be happy and encouraging in attending these events, and devote their time to helping the client make the most out of these opportunities.
  • A strong desire to help others, you will clearly see the impact you will have every day so if you possess this, this is the role for you
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Be patient and caring
  • Be happy to work on a livein basis from Thursday morning
  • Sunday morning.
  • To be able to prioritise the client's needs when on shift.

About You - Desirable Attributes:


  • Have a good sense of humour, our client is very sociable and enjoys having a laugh
  • Care experience would be very desirable.
  • Be confident around technology.
  • Be empathetic and understand when to be present, but also when to let the client be independent.
  • Bring good ideas on how to maximise the client's university experience.
  • GCSE in English and Maths (equivalent to a C grade or above).
  • Have either had the Covid19 vaccine or are willing to receive the vaccine.
