Category Manager 12 Months FTC
A world leading e-commerce platform is seeking a Category Manager. The Category Manager will be defining and executing the category strategy within the Electrical department. Liaising with important sellers, brands and retailers to ensure inventory is capableof continued growth within the category.

Salary:
£336 per day

Start Date:
January 16th

Contract Length: 12 Months

Richmond, London TW9

Responsibilities:

Build category and market expertise to identify and exploit opportunities for the platfrom and build inventory plans,
Lead and develop the relationship with key sellers, brands and retailers within the portfolio and in line with the category strategy
Build range and promotional plans, to target merchandise and use levers to get products and promotions on site
Collaborate with other categories and product teams to drive further engagement and build an added value proposition for the consumer
Deal profiling liaise with inventory team to surface seller's strongest deals at the best time
Inventory acquisition work with the outlet arm of sellers to maximise offprice inventory availability on the platform
Reporting weekly updates on seller performance by category and progress on initiatives and trade planning

Requirements:

Strong ecommerce or online platform background as an ecommerce, commercial or business development manager
3+ years experience within Category Management or equivalent
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build external relationships.
Strategic thinker and selfstarter
