The Role:
This person will report directly into the Head of Business Lines Learning & Talent Development at Commodity Insights (CI).

The role will provide design and over-sight and will manage all phases of Early Years & Talent Programs at CI globally.

This includes managing all aspects of the established graduate program - Commodity Associate Program - as well as the design, deliver and management of several graduate tracks for four additional business lines; global secondment/exchange program etc.

Themanager will oversee the recruitment; onboarding; training and placement phases for graduates across several business lines at CI.

The Team:

This person will be joining a small collaborative team of Learning Partners with global responsibilities that focuses acutely on implementing change and getting things done.

The team prides itself on being pillars of support to the internallearning and talent development operations of CI. This person will work closely with the Learning Partners responsible for the learning strategy for each business line.

Key Partners:
Establish strong working partnership across the five business lines at CI. Work closely with key stakeholders in the five business lines, People Team, Finance, Business Operations and Commercial.

Key Stakeholders:

Head of Market Reporting & Trading Services, Head of Upstream Solutions, Head of Conferences & Advisory, Head of Fuel Chemicals & Resource Solutions, Head of Gas, Power & Climate Solutions, People Team, Finance, Business Operations.


The Impact:

This role is charged with developing and driving the implementation of talent programs across a population of c 3000 people globally, encompassing market reporting, news, product, trading services, research & analytics, data, conferences,and advisory functions.

The role will work in close partnership with the business lines L&D partners, the people team and business leads to drive engagement and adoption of DEI and Culture and Change agenda through active learning.


Responsibilities (Manage all phases of the program(s) globally including):
Design and Deliver the Graduate Program(s) annually

  • Work with the People Team and business leaders to develop annual resource plan and program design.
  • Develop annual budget based off the resource plan.
  • Socialise the plan with key stakeholders.
  • Outline a schedule/plan for each business line including recruitment schedule; selection schedule; rotation planning; onboard and training schedules.
  • Work with local people leader to ensure strength of program at each location and business line.
  • Manage all program communications and work closely with the L&D team to coach and advise staff.
  • Work with the business to ensure all facets of the program(s) are running smoothly.
  • Develop / review standard performance objectives/goals for the program participants with the business.
  • Develop metrics and reporting on key performance indicators (Recruitment, during rotations, sharing of knowledge etc ).
  • Develop Alumni at Programme end to ensure continued collaboration and networking opportunities.
  • Oversee and review branding of program externally & internally.
  • Work with stakeholders in business and the people team to design and deliver post program retention plan for associates.
Oversee recruitment in each hub

  • Recruit leaders to attend campus events to generate program interest.
  • Plan with regional recruiters weekly during the recruitment phase to plan/execute logistics (interviews; testing; selection process/super days).
  • Ensure interview schedules/testing and Super Day selection process are well executed with recruitment support.
Manage program phase for each program

  • Help design and ensure delivery of consistent training program.
  • Manage staff through onboard and training phase.
  • Prepare managers and mentors for handoff of staff to their teams.
  • Serve as communication liaison with program participants/managers during the program(s) to ensure staff and managers are happy with work/performance outcomes.
  • Manage any issues that arise in the program (i.e., staffer is not aligned with management etc.).
  • Plan and facilitate program end placements by working with the sector heads, and local recruitment teams 3 months before program(s) end.
