Role
BRC are working with a reputable housing association that are looking for a new Clerk of Works. The majority of work will be with the organisation's existing stock and with a small amount of new builds.

The Clerk of Works will monitor progress of works on site, ensuring adherence to specification, quality of materials and workmanship as well as compliance with health and safety requirements on construction sites.

The role includes acting as a day-to-day liaison point for contractors, residents and the contract administrator, providing update reports.

Essential criteria for the role:

Sound construction technical knowledge
Time served building trade apprenticeship or equivalent
Good understanding of Building Regulations,
Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach
Strong customer service skills
The ability to liaise in a nonconfrontational style to resolve any issues on site or post completion
A team player with the ability to work as a positively
Full driving licence
Ability to use electronic systems for data capture and preparation of reports

Desirable criteria for the role:

SSTC
Relevant technical qualification e.g. BTEC or HNC
