Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Land and Acquisitions Manager for a regional housing association based in North Manchester. The role offers hybrid working and pays £56,000 per annum.The role:
- To be responsible for identifying suitable land opportunities (both immediately available and sites that will be marketable soon) for development opportunities
- To identify and build a suitable pipeline and provide specialist strategic advice in conjunction with the businesses strategy and vision, having regard to national and local planning policy to identify where opportunities/risks exist.
- To develop a land strategy and landbanking policy, securing strategic land (35 years) at an earlier stage providing a secured pipeline enabling an even delivery profile over the course of the Development Strategy
- To be responsible for the preparation of accurate appraisals and cash flow forecasts as required
- To have knowledge of local housing and community needs and development opportunities and assess the development risks
- To manage the negotiation process with purchases; liaising with solicitors, local authorities and other agencies as appropriate.
The person:
- Knowledge and experience of the legal aspects of the land process
- Knowledge and experience of handling complex and difficult pre contract negotiations.
- Knowledge of property development including homes for rent and sale and identifying land, acquisition and development opportunities
- Knowledge of contractor partnering and project management
