Infrastructure and Security System Administrator

We have an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure and Security System Administrator to join our growing Delivery function. Based in our Infrastructure Services team, this role will create, manage, and maintain systems for our customers, as well as manage cyber security processes internally and externally.

About the role:


Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, you will work across cyber security internally and externally, ensuring that our customers have the correct security procedures in place whilst monitoring for CVE's.

This role will also ensure that Support Revolution has the correct security procedures in place whilst assisting our in-house security expert with all security matters.


You will also work with wider colleagues and our customers to create, manage, and maintain systems, and ensure that these are running smoothly.


This role is based in our Berkshire head office - a two-minute walk from Thatcham train station with free onsite parking and easy access to many nearby towns and cities.


What you'll be doing
No day is the same at Support Revolution, but you will find yourself getting involved in:

  • Working with internal colleagues to create systems for customers, with the inclusion of cyber security procedures where necessary
  • Managing and maintaining systems for our customers and ensuring these are always operating effectively
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of cyber security policies and procedures both internally and externally
  • Monitoring for CVEs across our customer environments
  • Working across cloud and onpremise environments

What we're looking for:


To be successful in this position, experience in a system administration role is vital, as is the ability to work across multiple platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and O365.

As you will be working on customer environments, this role requires an active United Kingdom (SC) security clearance.

We are also looking for the following skills and experience:


  • Experience of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft O365 platform services
  • Working knowledge of networking, connectivity, VPN technologies and firewalls
  • An intermediate understanding of cyber security analysis and intrusion prevention systems (we have a great training structure and will give you indepth training on our cyber security tools and procedures)
  • Understanding of Windows server technologies including Hyper-V and/or VMWare
  • Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or Windows PowerShell
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix administration and database technology (such as Oracle, MSSql) would be preferable but aren't essential
