The Company
Our client is a leading name in the UK providing a range of products across the financial services sector. This multi-award-winning business is widely recognised for their outstanding customer service and product lines.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for heading up a small team with oversite of group consolidations, statutory reporting, leading year end and the statutory accounting process in a regulated environment.

Key duties:

Managing, developing and growing a successful team
Oversight of the group consolidation
Management of the endtoend statutory reporting
Interacting with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and organisations
Developing and implementing reporting techniques in response to future requirements issued by regulatory bodies
Deputise for the Head of Financial Reporting when required providing insight into regulatory reporting, tax and treasury
Adhoc projects, systems developments and reporting improvements

The Person

You will be a qualified ACA, (ICAEW or ICAS) or ACCA accountant with demonstrable post-qualified experience, ideally having trained with a top ten practice.

You will need to be technically strong with excellent report writing experience as this role is responsiblefor the group external reporting, experience of IFRS 9 and IAS 39 would also be advantageous.

You will manage and develop a team, this will involve mentoring, developing, setting day to day tasks, but also succession planning.

This role is high profile inthe finance function and will liaise with senior stakeholders on a regular basis.

My client offers hybrid working and would be expecting you to go to the office once a week and can also support Part time or consolidated hours 4 days per week.
