The Position


As the Sourcing Assistant, you are to assist the UK Sales and Marketing Affiliate procure goods and services in an efficient and effective way ensuring quality, compliance and value for money are achieved.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • To proactively support the business with the purchase of goods and services (indirect) across a range of promotional / nonpromotional categories
  • Under supervision, you will gain exposure to the UK operations by working across the value chain and be involved in activities that span the entire procurement cycle (i.e. administration, proposals, supplier contracts etc)
  • To assist in identifying sourcing opportunities, managing a project pipeline, arrange internal meetings with stakeholders to understand the business needs
  • To identify potential suppliers and prepare to collect competitive comparable bids
  • To identify opportunities and to simplify, align and become more efficient in the way we operate with our suppliers.

Qualifications
You have at least a GCSE or equivalent level with a formal further professional qualification (A level or equivalent)


Moreover:

  • You have commercial experience (i.e., Sales, Customer Service or Support function dealing with customers or suppliers)
  • You have excellent information gathering, strong planning and organisational skills
  • You are highly motivated, able to work well autonomously, and as part of a team
  • You have a good understanding of Microsoft programmes (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • You have previous experience in procurement/sourcing desired
  • Previous Contract negotiation and management experience desired
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) working towards desired
