Are you experienced in providing Complex Care to young adults?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support our service user, undertaking waking nights on a 1:1, part time basis.

She is a happy young lady who lives at home with her loving family in Sheffield, and we are seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one-to-one support and can build positive relationships with our service user and her family.

During the week, she attends school and loves interacting with her friends and teachers.

She enjoys TV, engaging in therapeutic play with her care team and spending time at the park when the weather allows.

She particularly likes listening to music and will show her enjoyment by clapping along.

She has a severe visual impairment and very limited verbal communication, so it is important that she is observed closely during all activities, and that her care team become familiar with her facial expressions to anticipate her wants and needs.

Throughout the night, you will care for this young lady and ensure that all her needs are met in a timely manner.

Upon arrival, she may already be in bed however if not, you will carry out her nighttime routine and promote a restful, calm environment.

She has an unsettled sleep pattern as she requires frequent repositing and medication administration throughout the night.

Due to this, it is essential that you remain alert, tending to her needs in a timely manner, regularly documenting her care and offering reassurance to encourage sleep.

In the morning, you will carry out her personal care and dressing needs, ahead of transport collecting her for the journey to school.

She has the use of a wheelchair to aid her mobility.

It would be advantageous if you can converse in Turkish as this is the families first language, however, this is not essential.

Please note, we are unable to consider smokers (including vapes), due to the request of the family.

Our service user has specified female staff only to provide their care.
