Job Purpose


As a Finance Business Partner you will play a critical role in providing financial analysis, insights and guidance to support business growth and profitability.

Your primary focus will be on partnering with various business units, understanding their operations, and delivering financial reporting on business performance.

You will deliver effective commercial procedures to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.

You will be responsible for collating and analysing financial data, identifying trends and developing actionable recommendations to drive performance and add value.

Key Accountabilities

  • Production of monthly management report, including provision of commentary on results for designated business partners.
  • The ability to report on performance, identifying exceptions and explaining key variances, providing insights into potential risks for the business.
  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, supporting the business in partner performance management.
  • Develop an expert knowledge of all relevant systems within the business to enable effective reporting.
  • Support billing data & practices, working with internal stakeholders to monitor effective billing on an ongoing basis.
  • Track and analyse data for all workstreams in order to monitor compliance with contracts, as well as billing and payments.
  • Support in the internal and external audit where necessary.
  • Deliver all other ad hoc reporting requirements in support of business initiatives.

Skills & abilities:

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret raw data and translate it into clear, concise information
  • Solutions orientated, with the ability simplify complex data and explain financial information to nonfinance individuals
  • Understand financial systems design and internal controls, demonstrating an indepth knowledge of computerised accounting systems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively
  • The ability to form effective relationships across all levels, promoting a cooperative working environment
  • Selfsufficient, comfortable with working autonomously as well as in crossfunctional teams, with the confidence to propose and proactively implement change/solutions where needed

Preferred education/qualifications:

  • ACA/CIMA or equivalent
