Description

To provide effective and efficient delivery and installation of clean ready to use products to clinical areas in the right location, within the agreed timescales.

To collect faulty, failing and dirty products from the clinical areas and ensure they are sent for decontamination and repaired within the agreed timescales.

To respond to breakdowns and exchange faulty products where required and complete all necessary documentation. To ensure management, organisation and maintenance of the bed stores and workshops ensuring effective and efficient utilisation of space. The check all equipment is in good working order and safe to use. To undertake statutory PAT testing of beds and associated electrical equipment. To work effectively and communicate with the clinical staff and the members of the multidisciplinary team. To undertake training courses to ensure appropriate competency levels. To assist in compiling and maintenance of bed and associated inventory register.

Work with Portering (Medirest & UHE/ISS) on each site to ensure all bed frames and foam mattresses are delivered or collected in a timely manner.

Attend mandatory training in a timely manner. To undertake relevant training to carry out job role and comply with relevant legislation.

To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity.

To understand and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety matters. To attend training sessions where applicable in the use of all safety PPE and to follow all safety procedures. Undertake general administration duties including keeping up to date files and records. Any other duties appropriate to the grade of the role as required by the Clinical and Technical Manager and Head of technical Services
