Description
We are looking to recruit and train people who are genuinely interested in working with children with complex medical needs to join our dedicated Paediatric Home Ventilation Service team, with anticipated start dates of 3rd April 2023 or 5th June 2023.
The Paediatric Home Ventilation Service provides at home support for ventilator dependent children which enables the child to have a relatively normal family life outside the confines of the hospital.
This means that you will be supporting children who need a ventilator to breathe as well as assisting with aspects of daily living common to any young child.
No previous healthcare experience is required for this role as you will undertake a minimum of 12 weeks training prior to your first home based shift.
Staff within our service work a mix of day and night shifts supporting the specific needs of our children in homes across a number of Health Board Areas and we support children throughout Greater Glasgow, Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, and Forth Valley and the list is growing to cover other areas.
