A secondment opportunity now exists within the HQ team for an experienced Systems Developer to join our team.

We have funding for this secondment which takes us through to 31st March 2023 (with scope to continue through to March 2025).

The foresight team have adopted a fast-fail and agile approach for the processes, tools and underlying IT tools.

We are seeking a software developer with this mindset and skills set in the core Foresighting Hub Team to enable rapid prototyping and testingof new ideas, provide an agile response to feedback and to lead the detailed implementation of IT based tools and data solutions.

The Role


As Foresighting Systems Developer you will support the programme leadership team in developing and delivering new ways of working to support HVMC's industrial transformation strategy.


This role will be responsible for:
Providing guidance and direction on the software tools / platforms that could be used to support foresighting
Implementation, updating and user support for platform / tools used to support foresighting
Using your own initiative to identify and remedy functional problems, identify and implement tool / workflow and process improvements
Providing operational support for tools and platforms used to support foresight workshops and related workflows
Providing responsive support for facilitators and workshop participants as necessary
Contributing to strategic planning and budgeting for workforce development activities and projects
