Golden Park & Golden Manor is a registered Residential Care and Nursing Home.

We are currently to recruiting experienced Senior Care Assistants to join our team.

The successful applicant will be contracted to weekly hours; full time, or part time roles are available. Alternative weekends are required. We also have bank vacancies available.


Please note:


Day Shifts Hours - 08:00am - 20:00pm
**Earlies

  • 08:00am 14:00pm**
    Lates14:00pm20:00pm

Night shifts Hours - 8.00pm - 8.00am

Your role and responsibilities:


The role of a Senior Care Assistant is to give direct support to the care assistants to ensure that patient care to our Residents with Dementia as directed by a trained nurse and support the resident in his/her plan of care.


Duties will include:


  • Assist residents who have Dementia with all aspects of personal care e.g. washing, dressing, toileting, ensuring we promote independence where possible.
  • Assist residents with mobility including hoisting
  • Assist residents with eating and drinking, communication and joining in social activities
  • Assist nurses with preparation of a resident for treatment
  • Complete all documentation as requested by the unit manager/nurse
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the nursing home
  • Promote a holistic approach

Minimum Requirements:


  • Minimum of two years care home experience

Qualifications:


  • A Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards) would be advantageous, but is not mandatory for this role.

Salary:
£10.75 per hour


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Stoke-OnTrent: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Care home: 2 years (required)

Language:


  • English (preferred)
