Description
Full training is offered to all new invigilators prior to the main examination season.

It is also a statutory requirement for the School to provide Child Protection and Prevent training to all staff (this includes casual staff).

You will need to have received this training prior to your first invigilation session.


Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task may not be identified.

Colleagues will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from the Examinations Officer and to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description


Main Purpose and Object:

To support the Exams Officer with the day-to-day operation of examination venues


Main Duties

  • Assisting with settingup examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with strict procedures and regulations, ensuring the security of the examination at all times.
  • Advising them about possessions permitted in examination venues
  • Checking attendance during examinations, recording details of late arrivals and early leavers and collecting scripts from early leavers
  • Collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination in accordance with strict procedures
