LT4- Electrical Site Engineer

Location:
Hixon, Staffordshire


Salary:
£45,000 to £50,000 per annum


Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Electrical Site Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Working alongside the mechanical maintenance team, you will take an overview on and assist with planned and reactive electrical maintenance on a wide range of plant, machinery and site facilities.

Assisted by the Electrical Improver, you will perform electricalinstallation maintenance and repairs.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Organise and manage relevant contractors.
  • Direct and assist Electrical Improver including their ongoing development.
  • PLC and Scada, Siemens and Mitsubishi.
  • Software backup and alterations.
  • Checking and drawing wiring diagrams.
  • 3phase electrical fault find and repair.
  • Electrical maintenance / repair of a wide range of machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, furnaces and much more.
  • Distribution boards / panels wiring, repair etc.
  • Basic fault find and repair of motors, inverters, contactors, sensors, relays etc.
  • Electrical PPM.
  • New installations.
  • If required, support the wider maintenance team on tasks within your capability.
  • Ensure adherence to/compliance with company policies, rules and regulations relating to safety/health, performance standards, procedures, processes and training requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, eg Emergency lighting, PAT testing, fixed wiring, estops etc.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Recognised engineering, mechanical or electrical qualification.
  • Qualified Electrical Installer.
  • Formal electrical engineering qualification such as 17th/18th Edition Cert or Min NVQ Level
  • Demonstrable faultfinding experience.
  • Previous experience in maintaining production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Timeserved/experienced within a manufacturing (medium to heavy) or process driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise projects.
  • Strong team player with proven leadership and motivational abilities.
  • Agile approach to getting things done; flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Independent judgement and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and guidance.

Desirable:


  • Experience within a heavy industry such as foundry, recycling or quarry and aggregates sectors.
  • Supervisory experience or mentoring.
