Dedicated Lead Autism Support Practitioner and Team Leader needed for a rewarding role.


Join a team of committed practitioners and family carers focused on offering genuine person-centred support to an individual with autism, mild learning challenges, and complex needs.


Do you want to co-lead a small team, becoming a specialist in his support and earning his trust first?

You will provide social and emotional assistance as he explores the countryside around Bristol and neighboring areas.

You will help him gain confidence within his community, expanding his range of activities and opportunities.

You will enhance his well-being and independence by planning and executing structured activities at his home to develop his skills and interests.


You will deliver exceptional Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and create an environment that reduces anxiety, allowing him to thrive and achieve his goals.


Opportunity to acquire professional qualifications in PBS and leadership while advancing autism knowledge.
This role involves mainly providing direct support, remaining a hands-on 'practice leader' while also assisting with managerial tasks.

As you gain expertise, you will take on responsibilities such as training, supervision, and care coordination.

Working closely with the Manager, you will each leverage your strengths to lead the team effectively.

You need a valid driver's license and your own vehicle.


26.5 to 35 (negotiable)
weekly contracted hours.

Requires at least 2 full days 9am -5pm, plus 2-3 mornings weekly.

Additionally, supporting the client on a UK holiday 3-4 nights per year is mandatory.

Working days are somewhat flexible.


Salary £30,030-33,150 per year (based on 37.5 hr week).

Key Responsibilities:


  • Listen, empathize, and support the client in communication
  • Assist client on walks in the countryside, providing emotional support and managing anxiety
  • Plan stimulating activities and enhance life skills and confidence
  • Manage risk to ensure safe activities and support the client using Positive Behavior Support
  • Participate in training, team meetings, and collaboration with family and professionals
  • Prepare for outings, educational sessions, and team communication
  • Work closely with the manager, co-leading the team once trained in Positive Behavior Support
